Matrox RG-400SL
|
Ideal for mission critical environments requiring support for Linux or Unix, the RG-400SL isolates the computing system (processor) from the display devices. This revolutionary technology allows, for instance, to connect operator desks up to 250 meters from rack mounted workstations located in a single secure computer room with the added benefit of facilitating maintenance tasks without disrupting operator environments.
The Matrox RG400SL is remote graphics unit that consist of a host interface card and the remote graphics unit (external box). The graphics chip with 4 DVI outputs, USB hub and audio controller are located in the external box that can be located up to 250 meters (820 feet) from the host PC. The plug-n-play interface card acts as the bus extender and system chipset abstraction layer for the external components. As a result, the system BIOS enumerates the remote devices as if they were located in the system’s expansion slots.
